The Loden Hotel, with its prime Coal Harbour location and proximity to Stanley Park (not to mention the delightful Tableau Bar and Bistro next door), has been recognized with a Condé Nast 2011 Reader’s Choice Award.
The Loden’s considered one of the top 40 in Canada, a boutique hotel with 77 rooms, garden terrace suites, six one bedroom suites, and the 1,600 foot Halo Penthouse, featuring a 1,400 square foot wrap-around rooftop terrace, with gorgeous city and mountain views.
It’s also where I found myself invited inside last night for a signature wedding event. We were treated to an array of food from Tableau, along with Cupcakes on Denman, in a dazzling variety of colours and flavours.
Part of the deluxe wedding-to-end-all-weddings package includes desserts from their bakery, a dream wedding gown by Something Blue, custom jewellery from Montecristo, barber services from the Belmont Barbershop, along with rooftop terrace ceremony, hors d’oeuvres, dishes from Executive Chef Marc-André Choquette, and plenty of cocktails, wines, and spirits.

And when the day is through, a beautiful suite awaits the happy couple, with a chance to do it all over again one year later in the Loden Penthouse Suite, compliments of the hotel.
This Diamond Package is one of many on offer, with prices ranging from $5,999 to $36,999. The Loden can also be used for rehearsal dinners, stagette sleepovers, bridal showers, post-wedding brunch, or simply a place to raise a glass in celebration.
I loved the luxurious touches in the suite, right down to Swarovski-accented coffee cups sitting by the gourmet coffee maker.
