We’ve been fans of CLIF Bars for ages, counting Peanut Butter and Chocolate Brownie amongst our faves. They’re travel-friendly (we pack several in reusable Ziplock bags into our suitcases) and can satisfy hunger in between meals, on hikes, bike rides and other daily exercise routines. A typical CLIF Bar has about 260 calories.
There are times when we need just a little bite though, and new CLIF Thins make an ideal light snack. They’re packaged in sets of two (seven packs to a box) and weigh in at 100 calories per two bars. These plant-based bars are a crispy, lighter version of their big brother and are made (like the originals) with 70% organic ingredients.
CLIF currently offers them in two variations: Chocolate Chip and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut. CLIF sent us a box of each to taste and we’re pleased to say that they are a flavourful alternative to the original. Imagine if the original bar was sliced in half, then baked — that’s the flavour and texture of these new CLIF snacks.
CLIF Thins are available in the US and Canada at major drug-, grocery–, convenience– and natural retailers. Visit CLIF online for more details.
