Our West coast days are still a bit chilly, but summer can’t be too far behind, right?
In anticipation of losing the socks and getting into sandals, I thought this would make a great time to start perusing KEEN’s website for their latest women’s lineup. There’s a lot of great new styles out there, but I found two that are distinctly different and offer two different looks for your summer (and warm destination getaway) wardrobe.
[KEEN’s Rialto II Naples]
I like the Rialto II Naples as it’s waterproof and ready to take on walking tours, urban cycling adventures and will pair nicely with a skirt or jeans, while the Sofia 2 Strap has a sleek, minimalist vibe that will be ideal for skirts, shorts and summer dresses.
Women’s Rialto II Naples
The first thing I notice on KEEN’s Rialto II Naples is the cushy footbed with a contoured arch. With as much travelling as I do, this sandal should hold up to long walking tours while offering good traction.
KEEN is a member of The Leather Working Group (LWG), an online resource that sets and maintains a protocol for environmental business practices within the leather industry.
The waterproof, leather upper (produced from an LWG-certified tannery) helps protect against unexpected showers.
In addition to that leather upper, the Rialto II Naples also includes PFC-free, durable water repellency as well as Cleansport NXT™️ for natural odour control. The adjustable hook and loop straps provide a secure fit around the ankles and the thin, criss-cross front straps give these a feminine touch in contrast to KEEN’s best-selling Newport water shoes.

Women’s Sofia 2 Strap
The Sofia 2 Strap is a gorgeous addition to KEEN’s summer sandal lineup! This one’s got premium, environmentally-preferred leather with a higher-traction outsole, combining comfort with style.
I plan to get a lot of use out of these: they’re lightweight for packing and can pair with everything from denim shorts to long skirts due to their simple, clean design. In contrast to similar sandals out there, KEEN chose to include a nicely padded, leather-lined footbed.
