“When we opened One Hundred Days, we set out to do something completely unexpected, creative, and extraordinary.”

Glam, glitter and disco are making a comeback this spring and OPUS Hotel Vancouver is leading the way. The boutique Yaletown hotel – always synonymous with style and surprise – has closed its One Hundred Days pop-up and will reopen tonight as One Hundred Nights.

The space has transformed into an urbanized, Studio 54 inspired 70’s disco with sci-fi, psychedelics, and elements of Andy Warhol’s Factory thrown into the mix. What was the Graffiti Room is now The Chrome Room, complete with silver graffiti depictions of piping and plastic tubing that will make for an imaginary metallic playground.

Next door, the Garden Room has gone from neon jungle to psychedelic pop-parade thanks to colourful images and far-out pinball fantasies. The remainder of the space has gone from white to silver and all walls will be bathed in fresh graffiti courtesy of artist Vince Dumoulin.

The launch of One Hundred Nights follows on the heels of One Hundred Days, a pop-up launched in the OPUS Hotel Vancouver in late August of 2010. The unique concept, with its edgy interiors and looming end date, quickly became the city’s hottest see-and-be-seen nightspot.

According to John deC. Evans, President and CEO of OPUS Hotels, “With One Hundred Nights, the surprise will continue within the context of our pop-up concept.” Peter Girges of RocksGlass Concepts Ltd and co-manager in One Hundred Days and One Hundred Nights, is excited to be working with John Evans and his refreshed OPUS Hotel Vancouver as he builds a new vision with 100 Nights. “With One Hundred Days and now One Hundred Nights, the OPUS Hotel Vancouver has brought a renewed kind of energy to Yaletown.”

OPUS Hotel Vancouver still plans to evolve One Hundred Nights from pop-up to permanent fixture, meaning that just like its earlier iteration, One Hundred Nights will reach a surprise ending. Until then, crowds will continue to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner, custom cocktails and celebrity sightings, this time with a little disco flare. One Hundred Days are over. It’s time to enjoy the night.

One Hundred Nights is located at 350 Davie Street in Yaletown. Reservations welcome. Phone 604.642.0557
