Summer is heating up around North America and the UV index is at the height of the season, so we figured that the timing was perfect for showcasing a couple of Vichy sun care products. Both mentioned here are suitable for all skin types and come in travel-friendly 40ml bottles. Capital Soleil UV+Age Daily SPF 60
Capital Soleil UV+Age Daily SPF 60 is formulated to protect our skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays, as well as to prevent and correct the appearance of dark spots and wrinkles. Its water-based, thin consistency means quick absorption onto your face, making it easy to wear under makeup.
UV+Age Daily SPF 60 includes several sunscreen filters, including Mexoryl® XL (Drometrizole Trisiloxane), a family of organic UV filters (patented by L’Oreal) known for their ability to both absorb and neutralize UV radiation from the sun, and in turn protect us from UVA and UVB harm. As we all know by now, UV radiation can cause sunburn, premature aging, and increased skin cancer risk.
In addition to Mexoryl® XL, this product includes 5% Niacinamide (to reduce the appearance of dark spots), peptides (to increase natural collagen production), and probiotic fractions (to strengthen the skin barrier). This is all neatly packaged into one lotion that’s been clinically proven to even skin tone, give it a smoother, more radiant appearance, and be compatible with your normal make-up routine.

Vichy’s Capital Soleil Ultra-Light UV Lotion is non-greasy and spreads evenly for quick absorption into the skin. The moisturizing formula has a nude finish and can be used daily — simply apply 15 minutes before you head outdoors. CAD $35.95
We’ve been using both sun-care products over the past month and find them gentle to use on the face, and while both are very fluid in composition, Vichy has designed the bottle tip (UV Lotion) and pump (UV+Age Daily) to help avoid spilling (we apply ours directly over the sink just in case).
