The Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) returns for its 34th consecutive year from September 24 to October 9 with a huge assortment of thought-provoking, entertaining, and culturally-rich films from Canada and around the globe. Ticket passes and packs are now on sale (online only).
Mark your calendars as Thursday, September 3 (noon) is when the official VIFF screening guide becomes available and all tickets go on sale (also online; pre-festival in-person box office sales begin on September 12 with all venue box offices open on September 24).
Growing on last year’s 549 screenings of 349 films from over 70 countries, VIFF has cemented its place as one of the top international film festivals in North America, shown on nine Vancouver screens.
VIFF also features one of the largest Canadian film programs in the world, including the #mustseeBC series, which has drawn record audiences to view our province’s productions.
A yearly highlight, VIFF’s Industry Conference offers master classes, presentations, panels with creative and business leaders, a digital program and lab plus industry networking sessions for up-and-coming and established film makers alike. The five-day conference runs from September 29 to October 3; registration opens today.
