Saigon has fallen and two Vietnamese refugees find themselves trying to make it in the US – a strange land of bikers, hippies and cowboys. Amongst the confusion these two just might find each other and fall in love.
As the two strive to build a new life in a strange land, Qui Nguyen takes audiences on a rip-roaring ride across 1970’s America, through ninjas, rap and wit in Vietgone, a heartwarming tale of his parents’ love.
Stereotypes fly out the window in what the New York Times hails as a “raucous, immensely moving comedy.”
Qui Nguyen’s Vietgone stars Chris Lam, Alison Chang, Aurora Chan, David Johnston, Ryan Anthony Kwok, Abigail Padilla, Jon Qpid and Jeremy Truong and is co-directed by Keltie Forsyth and Louisa Phung.
