The multifunction button further controls skipping forward/backward to next/previous track and answers/ends a call (press that button again to answer a second incoming call). Callers can also be switched from one to another as well muted/unmuted.

The speaker’s built-in microphone acts as an extension of your smartphone’s mic. You can access voice control on your mobile device to make/take calls, play music, provide the weather forecast, game scores and more. You can also disable auto on-off by simultaneously pressing and holding the “+” and Input buttons.

Bose designed this speaker with a super-efficient transducer, dual-passive radiators and an omnidirectional acoustic deflector. By placing it near a wall, sound will radiate and reflect around the room.

An additional feature (not mentioned in the quick start guide) is the option to plug a 3.5 mm stereo cable into the AUX connector at the back of the speaker.
