Canyon Frights, Capilano Suspension Bridge

Step into a frightful forest and meet Capilano Suspension Bridge Park’s haunted hosts, Elizabeth and Mac, the Park’s former owners. They will pop up throughout the park during Canyon Frights, from October 11 to 31 (10 am to 8 pm), with extended hours on October 25, 26, and 27 (10 am to 9 pm). Visitors can stay in the park for an hour past closing time.

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is set to light up for the occasion, creating the perfect backdrop for some ghostly surprises.

Highlights

Hungry? Make a pit stop at The Cliff House Restaurant & Bar to try limited-time snacks and beverages such as the Peek-a-Boo-Tini, Dracula Bite Hot Chocolate, Harvest Gnocchi, and Autumn Spice Apple Pie.

Rock your best (family-friendly) costumes and enjoy all the decorated pumpkins and spooky surprises. Kids of all ages can get in on Halloween-themed games with seasonal prizes. The owls of Raptors Ridge Birds of Prey are also in the Park on weekends. 

Canyon Frights is included in the price of admission or annual pass.

The free Capilano Suspension Bridge shuttle operates year-round with pick-ups at Canada Place, Hyatt Regency Hotel, and the Blue Horizon Hotel. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis for guests of Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Times are approximate and can vary with traffic volumes.

Costume Guidelines

Costumes should be child-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive or violent. Costume masks will not be permitted. Costumes should not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another guest. Costumes should not contain any weapons which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon. Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry unless their costume can be modified to meet the above standards.

Pumpkins After Dark

Over in Burnaby, Pumpkins After Dark, Canada’s largest Halloween festival, is back through October 31. Central Park has transformed into a Halloween wonderland featuring a variety of new pumpkin displays, an immersive 3D Blacklight Monster Maze, and sweet Halloween photo ops.

Pumpkins After Dark in Burnaby

Ticket pricing varies based on the your chosen date and time slot. New this year: Thriller Thursdays with discounted tickets priced at $21.59 for adults over 18 and $17.46 for south 4-17. Limited parking is available at Swangard Stadium, 6100 Boundary Road in Burnaby.
