Roots has just launched Pit Stops Summer ‘26, a limited-edition capsule series celebrating six of Canada’s most beloved roadside destinations.

Designed in collaboration with Toronto-born multidisciplinary artist and illustrator, Moya Garrison-Msingwana (aka GANGBOX), the collection fuses fashion, food, and cultural storytelling through a uniquely Canadian lens.

The limited-edition series features exclusive partnerships with iconic Canadian food spots spanning from coast-to-coast, from COWS (founded in Prince Edward Island) to Duffin’s Donuts, a Vancouver institution. Each collab draws inspiration from the unique identity, visual language, and iconic menu items that have defined these beloved destinations for generations — wearable pieces that celebrate regional pride, culinary culture, and shared nostalgia.

“Roots has always been part of the moments that define a Canadian summer: the road trips, the detours, and the familiar stops that become just as memorable as the destination,” according to Leslie Golts, Chief Marketing Officer, Roots. “These places are where memories are made with friends and family. They’re part of our shared Canadian experience. Celebrating iconic Canadian food favourites and the communities behind them felt natural for Roots because they’re part of our story, too.”

Through GANGBOX’s signature painterly style, this collection (t-shirts, tote bags, and baseball caps) blends bold illustration with heritage-inspired design to capture Canada’s road trip culture, whether it’s late-night snack stops or long-standing beloved local institutions.

Included in each four-piece series are Canada crews and t-shirts crafted from 100% organic cotton, designed with a relaxed, gender-free fit.

To mark the launch, Roots is bringing the iconic food destinations to Toronto with a three-day Route 73 pop-up at The Well, Wellington Square, starting today through July 31.
