Broadway is the beating heart of New York City. Through lights, live music, and the shared experience of a standing ovation, Broadway offers a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience that blends world-class storytelling, extraordinary talent, and cutting-edge stagecraft.
From timeless musicals to groundbreaking new works, there’s something for every taste—and every performance promises an unforgettable evening.
Every year, a few productions rise above the rest with their recognition bestowed by the Tony Awards. The annual ceremony honors the best of Broadway with awards in various categories such as performance, design, and production.

A Tony not only elevates a show’s prestige but often boosts its appeal, making it a sought-after ticket for theatregoers seeking top-tier entertainment. By shining a light on the amazing talent and creativity of everyone on and behind the stage, the Tony Awards help us discover the newest, must-see shows that are changing the theatre scene.
The 2024–2025 season wrapped up with three standout Broadway shows emerging as the top contenders for Tony Award honors. Maybe Happy Ending, Buena Vista Social Club, and Death Becomes Her all went in with an impressive 10 nominations each, including for Best Musical.

Maybe Happy Ending
It was Maybe Happy Ending that well, had a happy ending on Tony night, no “maybe” about it! It was the triumphant winner of the evening, taking home six honours: Best Musical, Best Book, Best Original Score, Best Direction, Best Scenic Design, and Best Actor in a Musical for Darren Criss.
Criss, who won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe for his work on The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story added two new trophies to his shelf on Tony night. As co-producer of Maybe Happy Ending, he earned a second Tony with the Best Musical win.
Written by Will Aronson and Hue Park, the musical tells the heartwarming story of two out-of-date helper robots who embark on an unexpected adventure of friendship and possibly love. Maybe Happy Ending has charmed critics and audiences alike with its endearing story and catchy tunes, reminding us that even in a digital world, true connections are priceless.

Buena Vista Social Club
A hit with both audiences and critics, Buena Vista Social Club takes theatregoers on a journey through the heart of Havana, bringing the soul and sound of 1950’s Cuba (made famous by the Grammy Award–winning album) to the Broadway stage. Inspired by the legendary album and documentary, this vibrant musical follows the stirring journey of musicians navigating the upheaval of the Cuban Revolution while staying true to their passion for music.

The production earned several Tony Awards, including Best Orchestrations for Marco Paguia, Best Choreography for the duo Patricia Delgado and Justin Peck, and Best Featured Actress for Natalie Venetia Belcon. A Special Tony Award also honoured the show’s extraordinary on-stage band. With its dynamic Afro-Cuban rhythms and powerful storytelling, Buena Vista Social Club delivers a joyful, culture-rich experience that’s as moving as it is infectious.

This fun-filled Broadway musical adaptation of the 1992 cult film Death Becomes Her stars Megan Hilty and Jennifer Simard, playing fierce adversaries determined to cling to their youthful looks at any cost.

Both actresses garnered nominations for Best Actress in a Musical—a rare thing on Broadway, where it’s not often you see a show with two female leads sharing the spotlight.
Paul Tazewell snagged the show’s only Tony Award win for his dazzling and innovative costume designs, complete with several ‘how did they do that?!’ costume moments. This spirited production dishes out razor-sharp humour and unforgettable performances, ensuring your night at the theatre will be more rejuvenating than any magic potion could promise.
