Earlier this week, a group of bloggers and influencers got a sneak peek at Pandora Shine, the Danish jewellery company’s newest spring collection.
Pandora Shine features a range of lovely 18k gold-plated sterling silver pieces that evoke spring, with cute bees, beehives, hearts, golden honey enamel beads, romantic hearts and cubic zirconia-decorated rounded beads.

The pieces are also perfect for Mother’s Day gifting. The subtle difference between Pandora’s current 14k solid gold collection and this newer, more affordable line is that the tone is a tad less yellow in colour.

During the process, sterling silver gets overlaid with a palladium layer, then finished with a thick layer of 18k gold. Affordable luxury? Yes! And up close, these pieces contain some gorgeous, intricate details. The basic Pandora Shine Charm Bracelet retails at CAD $195.
The bracelet is opened via a little Pandora-branded golden ball that snaps in half.
When opened, the other end of the bracelet (with a tiny squared end) is placed inside the a special grooved section of the ball, then the ball is snapped shut.
I was gifted this bracelet and am over the moon with how lovely it looks on my wrist. The bracelet is just aching for a few charms — there’s over 20 within the Pandora Shine collection.
Lovers of intricately-designed jewellery will love this new collection. And in case gold’s not your thing, there’s also a sterling silver bangle (CAD $110) available with silver hardware just waiting to get decorated with a few of the hundreds of charms in Pandora’s assortment.

Another big trend in bracelets is dangling ends — Pandora’s Sliding Bracelet (CAD $195) adjusts via a large golden ball at the wrist, leaving two smaller, cubic zirconia-ended balls to dangle on your arm.

Throughout the event, we were treated to dainty little sweets, cocktails and canapes at Gastown’s Mosquito (32 Water Street), a lovely venue known for its charcuterie, desserts and champagne offerings.
