Fraser Valley is known as the Lower Mainland’s banana belt and in its heart, South Langley, lies one of BC’s premier grape growing regions. Fraser Valley has received its own VQA (Vintners Quality Alliance) symbol of quality, due to the high quality wines produced from the region’s grapes.
Spend a day in the Fraser Valley and join Neck of the Woods Winery for an open house this Saturday, June 18. The tasting room will be pouring samples of both Neck of the Woods and Backyard Vineyards wines, as well as serving local cheeses. Savour the newest wine releases, including recent award winners, and take a complimentary tour of their state-of-the-art winery.
Try the award winning Blanc de Noir sparkling wine during the cork-popping contest. Visitors can try their hand at a bit of target practice, courtesy of the sparkling powers of Neck of the Woods “Methode Champagnoise“. A grand prize basket will be up for grabs, filled with artisan cheese, Gone Crackers, and Neck of the Woods wine.
