They’re two Vancouver traditions and only a few minutes apart on foot along a stretch of Canada Place boasting a gorgeous view of the coastal mountains. One venue’s indoors, the other outdoors.
We recently checked out Christmas at Fly Over Canada followed by the Vancouver Christmas Market on a chilly November evening, making for a festive duo of holiday fun.
You can head to the market first or begin the day at FlyOver Canada (reserve a time slot online). We always enjoy our time at FlyOver Canada; even though the “flight” is a short one, you’ll cross the country in a unique and immersive way.
You can then enter the Vancouver Christmas Market and grab a mulled wine, made-on-the-spot pretzel, shop for gifts, sweets, hang out in a heated lodge, get a selfie inside a large, lit picture frame, spend some time in an igloo, or just take in the music as you whizz by on the merry-go-round.
The Holly & Jolly Combo Package is only sold online and gets you into Christmas at FlyOver Canada (including a printed souvenir photo), admission to Vancouver Christmas Market (via Fast Pass/season pass entry), plus one non-alcoholic beverage at the Market. All this for $39 too (FlyOver Canada alone starts at $24 for adults).
This combo ticket makes a great stocking stuffer or a surprise for family arriving in town before the holiday week (valid through December 24).
Visit FlyOver Canada online to reserve your seat for a holiday-themed journey across Canada.
Vancouver Christmas Market, currently celebrating 10 years, is located at Jack Poole Plaza and open daily from 11:30 am to 9:30 pm (December 24, 11:30 am to 6 pm). HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
