Formerly located in Mount Pleasant, Little Mountain Gallery is set to reopen with a 24-hour comedy marathon hosted by award-winning (and 2024 Juno-nominated) comedian Graham Clark. Run time is from 7 pm on April 12 through 7 pm on April 13.

Little Mountain Gallery, a non-profit comedy venue, is 100% community programmed and managed since 2016.

This event marks the venue’s return after it was forced to shut its doors at the end of 2021 due to the building’s demolition to build low-rise condos. Since then, the organization has been working though the City of Vancouver’s permitting processes to open its new location at 110 Water Street in Gastown.

The upcoming marathon will serve as a fundraiser for Little Mountain Gallery after paying for an extensive capital project and operational costs for the past two years while closed.

Partial proceeds will benefit WISH Vancouver, a charity dedicated to enhancing the health, safety, and overall well-being of women engaged in Vancouver’s street-based sex trade.

During the show, dozens of local comedians will drop by to help and to inspire Clark by writing jokes for him to read and review live on stage. The event will also be live-streamed to allow for global participation. Comics from across Canada will be able to engage in the madness.

Tickets for the 24-hour show are now available on Showpass (early bird pricing is $15 plus service fees) and are sold on a 90-minute time slot basis beginning at 7:00 pm on April 12.

Little Mountain Gallery’s regular programming will begin on April 19 with stand-up, improv, sketch and variety shows, from Tuesdays to Saturdays. Visit Little Mountain Gallery online for more details.
