Adding to the friendly skies this season is the sparkly new Condor Airlines A330neo wide-body fleet. The candy-coloured stripes are part of a new branding scheme by Beriln’s vision alphabet agency, while the interior was designed by Müller | Romca Industrial Design, based in Kiel.
We were invited to come aboard this week ahead of general boarding for nonstop service to Frankfurt. The direct route is offered five times weekly to the company’s Frankfurt hub, with easy connections to over 100 destinations across Europe (and beyond).
The A330neo is the successor to the Boeing 767 fleet, providing Condor with lowered operating costs, increased passenger and cargo capacity plus flight and navigations systems that result in less noise pollution and a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions.
The stunning new fleet holds 310 passengers in total: 30 in Business, 64 in Premium Economy and 216 in Economy classes.
In Business Class, the 180-degree lie-flat seats boast a 1-2-1 configuration, so that no passenger will need to step across for aisle access. As well, the overall design is aimed at comfort, ambience and the latest in-flight entertainment systems and connectivity.
A few of the ‘upper’ Business Class seats up front are configured to allow two passengers to face one another, perhaps engage in a conversation or dine together. These prime Business Class seats also come with an upgraded travel kit, inflight PJs and a premium snack basket.
Vancouver is Condor’s second market in Canada to receive the new A300neo fleet. We’re excited to get onboard a future flight and discover how Condor has elevated the flying experience from gate to gate.
