Shop Local takes on a whole new meaning when it comes to ART SPOT’s annual Under $100 Art Show, coming to Vancouver for the very first time this weekend!
Featuring nearly 100 artists and thousands of art pieces for sale, this is a great opportunity to support local artists this season without breaking the bank.
Founded in Calgary, the annual event is coming up on its 17th year. And now, we get to experience it in Vancity. This show makes original art accessible to those who might not be able to afford it otherwise. The Under $100 Art Show sees door crashers every year, all hoping to acquire one of the large scale pieces that come out periodically through the event.
According to ART SPOT founder Emma Justine, “The show is in a constant state of rehang. As things disappear off the walls, we have elves replacing it right away. And we make sure to put big pieces out every couple hours to ensure that the show is awesome until the last time slot!”
Each event includes unique paintings, collage, ceramics, jewelry, prints, sculptures and so much more!
Under $100 Art Show
Opening Night: Thursday, November 14, 5 to 10 pm
Weekend Hours: Friday, November 15 to Sunday, Nov. 16, 11 am to 7 pm
Location: 708 Powell Street, Vancouver
Tickets: $12.58 when reserved online; kids under 16 are free to attend
(Walk-in tickets are $20 for opening night and $15 for Friday to Sunday)
