Vancouver-based Iridia Medical has been testing non-symptomatic individuals for Covid since the summer of 2020 and has since become one of the leading testing groups in the province. From PCR, Rapid Antigen to Molecular testing, Iridia offers a one-stop experience.

For Rapid Antigen and Molecular testing, individual results are ready in as little as 15 minutes (note that Iridia can arrange for several testers to be onsite to manage large groups).

Rapid Molecular Testing is similar to PCR but can be used for non- or partially-vaxxed individuals who wish to travel domestically. It can also be used as form of PCR testing to destinations that accept Rapid Molecular testing. Rapid Molecular Test results are available within 20 minutes, too.

Those who are fully vaccinated that would like to travel to the US and then back to Canada within 72 hours can also use the Rapid Molecular Test in place of a standard PCR test. This translates to one test needed for travel within that time period!

Iridia’s Seamless Testing

– Book online for a guaranteed appointment time (booking early is recommended; all individuals are pre-screened; testing is only conducted for those that are non-symptomatic)
– Sign a form to collect consent
– Iridia’s tester administers the COVID test
– PCR results arrive within 24 hours and are emailed with a protected passcode

In case of a positive test result, Iridia will discreetly inform you of the result, and collect a second sample that is sent to a lab for confirmation.

While awaiting that second result, you’ll be guided to isolate at home. When the confirmatory test returns, a member of the clinical team will connect with you directly with the result (and any further necessary guidance).
