Grateful Dead fans rejoice! Our friends at Pearl Izumi recently launched a super cool, limited-edition run of cycling gear with all the iconic elements of the Bay Area band.
The Dead launched their first European tour 50 years ago this year, at London’s Wembley Stadium. Pearl Izumi pays tribute to this major milestone with cosmic floral backgrounds, skulls, roses and tie-dyed items for men, women and even kids (Quest Jersey) in their latest collab, The Rambler Collection, featuring jerseys, t-shirts, tights, bib shorts and socks, all infused with colour! Women’s Classic Jersey
The rose, an ode to the Grateful Dead’s first European tour, plays the starring role in Pearl’s Classic Jersey, made of 100% recycled polyester.
It’s lightweight and contains all the elements of a standard jersey — full front zipper, three pockets on the back for stowing small essentials, reflective elements.
In purple and green, this jersey wouldn’t be complete without the Dead skull (on the left chest). Sleeves are raglan-style for improved articulation and the fit is relaxed/athletic style for comfort on longer rides. Fans will love the back panel with red rose in a vase next to a skeleton hand poking out of a shirt. Classic.
The Grateful Dead logo can be found along both sides of the jersey too, to complete the look.

Women’s Prospect 27” Tight
Ultra-comfy and great for yoga, cycling and hiking, the Prospect Tight contains the Grateful Dead rose motif patterned in dark grey on a black background, accented with tiny colourful dots throughout with a multi-coloured Dead skull and Pearl logo inside on the right leg. The rear waistband has a turquoise Pearl Izumi logo.
They’re just stunning. These contain a wide-panelled, high-rise waistband for a flattering look; Pearl Izumi designed these with flat-lock seams that are rolled forward for comfort on rides.
Two side pockets can fit your smart phone, credit card or cash (or your hands, on cool days on the trail). The tights sit just above the ankle, making them perfect for yoga or morning stretches on the mat. They’re made using 79% recycled polyester and 21% spandex and once machine-washed, dry pretty quickly on a drying rack.

Women’s Summit Short Sleeve Jersey
The Summit Short Sleeve is a super light, breathable top ideal for everything from lounging at home to hikes and cycling adventures. The material is highly breathable due to the 100% recycled polyester material, and easily packs into a day bag for warmer weather. This jersey pays tribute to the hazy, trippy days of the 60’s with its funky pattern.
The front includes the Dead logo (and the skull with Pearl Izumi on the bottom) while the back sports another Dead skull and a bird on the right. The rear hem is longer for comfortable rides and we like the slim collar on the neck. This is one of our favourite pieces and pairs with Pearl Izumi’s Summit Shell Short and Prospect Tight, also in a special tribute Grateful Dead design.
