Friends and family are welcome to help celebrate the annual Light Up the Village ceremony at Park Royal tomorrow, November 13. The festivities will launch the holiday season and be open to the public from 5:30 pm to 8 pm at Keeper’s Crossing in the centre of The Village.
Light Up the Village 2015 will also kick off the beginning of a season-long partnership with Lions Gate Hospital Foundation.
The official Light Up the Village countdown will begin at 6:45 pm. Although this is a free event, there will be a variety of donation opportunities available. Guests are encouraged to support the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation to help further the outstanding impact they continue to have on our community. With activities and fun for the entire family, a dazzling 100,000 lights will sparkle throughout The Village, marking the arrival of the holiday season.

– Coffee at the Faubourg coffee cart
– Face painting and fun with Santa’s Elves
– Singing trio Fandango
– The jazz stylings of Karla Sax
A minimum $2 donation will earn guests an illuminated glow necklace and lanyard; all proceeds will be donated directly to Lions Gate Hospital Foundation.
Follow the fun on social media by snapping and sharing your photo at Park Royal from November 13 to December 24 using the hashtags #iheartLGHF and #ParkRoyal in addition to tagging Park Royal and the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation on Instagram, Facebook and/or Twitter.
$1 will be donated for every social media post using those hashtags with both accounts tagged. Park Royal’s goal is to reach 3,000 posts.
