Since 1971, London, UK luxury brand Molton Brown has been in the business of creating bespoke bath and body products for men and women. We’ve been fans since having discovered them in high-end hotels and resorts across Europe and Asia. I was recently at Molton Brown’s Belfast City, Northern Ireland boutique and had the chance to check out their recent fragrance collection.
Each Molton Brown product is expertly blended using exotic ingredients to create aromatic, citrus, floral, opulent and woody scents. Their fragrance packaging is beautiful, packaged in a signature debossed recyclable brown box, containing an amber-coloured glass bottle with silver accent and unique-to-each-fragrance resin cap.
The bottle shape is a direct nod to the brand’s early days as a hair salon, where they hand-mixed and packaged their products in the basement of the original South Molton salon.
Amber glass protects the sensitive ingredients from UV damage. In fact, once your bottle is empty, you can bring it to select Molton Brown shops to have it refilled. Wild Mint & Lavandin Eau de Parfum
As a fan of mint and lavender, Molton Brown’s Wild Mint & Lavandin (a potent lavender variety) spoke to me, with its stunning green marbled top that when opened unleashes an earthy, yet fresh combination of both wild mint and lavender (sustainably sourced from Provence). Molton Brown’s Heavenly Gingerlily Bath & Shower Gel is a great complement to their Lily and Magnolia Blossom eau de parfum, with notes of ginger, soft musk, and lily. It’s both very clean and fragrant, yet not overwhelming, and perfect for baths as well. 300ml/10 fl. oz; CAD $46/USD $35
