Love Lies Bleeding is a poetic contemporary work that leads audiences into the wild, dangerous, and powerful world of pop music. It features 14 classic Sir Elton John and Bernie Taupin songs. The non-stop parade of dazzling costumes (by Martine Bertrand) rivals that of Vegas for sheer spectacle. Adam Larsen provides eye-popping projections for the Alberta Ballet dancers. By exploring the trials, victories, and sacrifices of achieving super-stardom, Love Lies Bleeding is an unforgettable story of rock ‘n’ roll, filled with drama, passion, defeat and, above all, love. This is a ballet sure to rock the planet.
