Over the summer, we’ve been checking out KEEN’s latest line-up of shoes and sandals, and were drawn to the stylish Jasper Suede Sneaker, KEEN’s popular climbing-inspired shoe. It comes in eye-catching colour combinations, with two sets of laces to change up the look.
It laces from toe to tongue, contains a replaceable, removable foam insole (handy if you wear orthotics), and is ethically-sourced from the brand’s own Leather Working Group-certified tanneries that reduce toxic chemical usage as well as preserve and protect our water.

The low profile shoe contains a premium leather upper with cool vertical stitching along its sides, while the contrasting laces offer a nice colour pop. The second set of laces that we received with the Cathay Spice/Orion Blue variation are a bit more subdued and can be used for business casual wear.
The sneaker follows the contours of your foot for a comfortably snug fit, and has a non-marking rubber outsole. It even includes pesticide-free odour control to naturally prevent the shoes from smelling when your feet sweat.
To keep the Jaspers looking their best, gently brush the leather with a soft bristle brush or hand towel to remove loose dirt and debris. Stubborn stains may require a leather cleaner.

Sizes range from 7 to 14 (with half sizes between 7 and 12); CAD $150/USD between $81-$140. Jaspers are also available for women in several colour options.
