Holland America Line is expanding its 2026 Canada and New England season with more cruises, increased ports of call, and added overnights. Their 28-day Legendary Voyage, “Canada, New England and Iceland”, deeply explores all three regions, from the convenient homeport of Boston.
From April through October, both MS Zuiderdam and MS Volendam will offer seven-day departures roundtrip from Boston, or between Boston and Montreal or Québec City, Canada.
The MS Volendam also sails 10- or 11-day itineraries that delve deeper into the Maritimes and include Newfoundland and New France.
Holland America Line is also excited to offer guests the chance to add Iceland to their exploration of Canada and New England. The timeframe is perfect for those sailing on the MS Volendam to take in the spectacular late sunsets and white nights, including during an overnight call in Reykjavík.

I cruised from Reykjavík earlier this summer with HAL and added a few extra nights pre-cruise to explore and enjoy a lovely city that can be reached via nonstop service from Vancouver, BC on Icelandair.
Throughout the season, 18 Canada and New England itineraries will highlight the region’s charm, its delicious seafood, rich maritime history, stunning lighthouses and natural wonders. Nearly every itinerary calls on either Québec City or Montreal – a provincial gem further southwest on the St. Lawrence River – thanks to HAL’s ideal mid-sized ships.
Immersive Regional Experiences
Destination dining will bring authentic Canadian and New England flavours on board, with local favourites served on the menus. Imagine the chance to savour Maine lobster, New England berries, Prince Edward Island mussels, North Atlantic cod, poutine, and delectable port-to-plate specialties!
Add immersive shore excursions such as lobster boils and culinary walks in ports throughout the region for even more chances to sample regional delicacies.
Prices for 2026 Canada and New England sailings start at $994 per person (including taxes and fees). For more info, visit the website or phone 1-877-SAIL-HAL (877-724-5425).
