Gracing the corner of 47th and 7th Avenue on Broadway, Tempo by Hilton is a modern hotel located inside the sweeping, 46-story TSX Broadway.
Spread across 36 floors of the tower, Tempo by Hilton shares retail and entertainment spaces on top of the historic Palace Theatre.
All 661 guest rooms include plush mattresses and cooling linens, together with lights that dim at sunset for a fitful rest in the heart of Manhattan’s liveliest district. The electronic drapes do a great job of darkening the room, as the Broadway lights shine just outside on the streets.

Rooms
Rooms are located on floors 16 to 46 and are thoughtfully designed into three main areas: The bathroom with chrome fixtures and Bluetooth built into a large rounded mirror, a marble-topped work desk with a lamp and power outlet strip, and a sleep environment with auto-dimmed lighting to help unwind after busy days of sightseeing or meetings.
The 44th to 46th floor rooms have high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows to take in those iconic Times Square views.
With a focus on fitness and well-being, the Tempo by Hilton Times Square has also created dedicated wellness rooms outfitted with a Peloton bike, yoga mat, and resistance bands. I love to begin each day with a good stretch, and applaud hotels and resorts that include yoga mats in their guest rooms.
A Sealy Accelerate mattress provides a cozy sleep, surrounded by sconce lighting and a wrap-around headboard. Dark wood compliments muted beige walls with a swirly patterned wall design behind the bed for a pop of colour.
A dark green plush swivel chair and reading lamp graces the corner of the room to take in the vibrant street life below.

My King city view room up on the 46th floor has a 65” flatscreen TV, high-speed wifi, Nespresso coffee maker and pods, plus a mini fridge under the desk.
The suitcase rack has a retro trunk feel, with a brass drawer pull that opens to reveal an electronic safe and additional storage space, while above is a metal shelving fixture with hangers for your New York City wardrobe.
Leather and brass hooks by the entrance are perfect for hanging umbrellas, jackets, and shopping bags. While a bit on the narrow side, this room takes advantage of all available space and uses it intelligently.
The elevator system is interesting. On the lobby level, you press a room number into a keypad then tap your card onto the sensor, and the screen will show you which elevator is coming for your selection. On each floor, the system is the same. The elevator will also stop on other floors as other guests request them.
Dining
On the 11th floor, just opposite check-in is Highball, Tempo by Hilton’s signature dining venue. Breakfast and lunch are on a grab-and-go basis with tables spread around the restaurant for enjoying a full menu of options. At dinner, Highball offers table side service.

An assorted mix of dance and lounge music, soft lighting, muted sports screens, and candlelit tables make for a casual, cozy dinner after a day full of exploring.

The well-attended oval bar in back with beer taps and bar stools is a focal point of the space, surrounded by window tables and lounge seating.

The drinks menu, created by renowned cocktail expert Derek Brown, reimagines New York classics alongside a dual cocktail/mocktail duo (created to resemble one another with or without alcohol).
Brown, an acclaimed author, wellness coach, and leader in the mindful drinking movement, works his magic with ingredients that define wellness, concocted into a beautiful presentation.
Amenities
The 24-hour fitness center, located on the 18th floor, is outfitted with Peloton bikes, free weights, elliptical machines and more.

Speaking of transit, New York’s OMNY card provides a flexible, contactless payment system for subways, buses, and the Staten Island Railway.
You’ll get free transfers within two hours, digital balance management via the OMNY website, and specialized, reduced-fare and student pricing if you qualify.
After paying for 12 rides with the same card or device in a 7-day period (Monday–Sunday), all subsequent rides for the rest of the week are free.

Additionally, creating an online OMNY account lets you view ride history, track progress toward free rides, and reload the card.

A big shout-out to the Tempo by Hilton staff, including Eddie at the front desk and Dino downstairs at the valet area for helping me with navigation and dining tips throughout my stay!
I was a guest of Tempo by Hilton Times Square for the purpose of this feature. Opinions, as always, remain my own.
