On February 16, Colin Mochrie (plus special guests) will perform together in support of Vancouver TheatreSports® League. Vancouver TheatreSports® League has become a local institution for both producing and staging some of the most daring and innovative improv in the world. On a yearly basis, VTSL entertains over 50,000 theatre enthusiasts.

Colin is a successful Canadian comedian who began his improv career at Vancouver TheatreSports® League before moving to Toronto’s famous comedy theatre, The Second City. From there he experienced great success with years as a series regular on the British (and later the American version) hit show Whose Line is it Anyway

At the time, he was concurrently starring in five series on six North American networks, including Whose Line, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and Getting Along Famously. He co-wrote, produced, and appeared (together with his wife Debra McGrath) in the latter CBC series.

“Colin’s talent is as big as his heart,” says VTSL Executive Director Jay Ono. “We are thrilled that he is taking time from his multinational tour to help VTSL with this fundraising effort. We anticipate big laughs from the big night.”

Colin continues to make appearances in television and films and is currently on a multinational tour with his Whose Line cast mate Brad Sherwood.

Each 90 minute show will feature Vancouver’s finest and funniest improv performers – current VTSL mainstage performers and alumni. Taking their cues from the audience, the improvised sketch shows will be built around suggestions shouted out from the crowd, promising to make for two delightfully different experiences. With seasoned pro Mochrie at the helm, the shows are a guaranteed fun time.

“I am so looking forward to playing again with the organization that started my love affair with improv,” says Mochrie. “Also, Ono owes me 20 bucks.”
