This year’s highlights include engaging speaker sessions and workshops on flowers and cycling, the Dutch Film Festival tent screening the Oscar-winning short I Am Not a Robot, and interactive booths and foods.

The energetic street party celebrates all things Dutch, and it’s completely free to attend, and yours truly will be playing a live DJ set on Saturday (time TBD).

Here’s an event run-down:

AUG 30 Dutch Flower Day

Celebrate the Netherlands’ rich legacy in floriculture with a full day of bulbs and flowers. Purchase tulip bulbs, buy fresh-cut flowers, and learn about Camas bulbs from local Coast Salish people. It’s a vibrant gathering for gardeners, plant enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates Dutch agricultural heritage.

AUG 31 Dutch Underground

Enjoy a full day of live DJ sets and an energetic street party atmosphere, celebrating one of the Netherlands’ most famous cultural exports—electronic music. Experience Dutch DJs bringing beats and energy to downtown Vancouver’s Hoofdstraat, creating a daylight party vibe for all ages. The celebration has expanded to include Snéḵwem Lane on the 500 block of Granville Street. Dutch BC has also applied for a licensed area to serve Dutch beer plus gin and avocaat cocktails from their friends at Bruinwood Distillery on the Sunshine Coast.
