Holland America Line, the No. 1 cruise line for Alaska wildlife and wilderness tours, has launched a new collaboration with Sony Electronics for the 2025 Alaska season to bring guests an immersive new way to encounter Alaska’s awe-inspiring landscapes: Exclusive on-board photography experiences and a specially curated photo contest designed to capture the beauty of the Last Frontier.

Part of the collaboration is the “Alaska Through Your Lens” photo sweepstakes. Guests are encouraged to embrace Alaska’s awe-inspiring landscapes, diverse wildlife, and natural wonders through their photography and enter for a chance to win prizes at Sony Alpha Universe, Sony’s official online platform to support and inspire photographers who use Sony Alpha cameras.

There are two ways to enter: Online or via social media using the hashtags #AlphaHALcruise and #Sweepstakes. Grand prize winners will be awarded an unforgettable Holland America Line Alaska cruise for two, plus a Sony Alpha 7R V camera, 70-200 mm F2.8 G Master II Lens, and 24-70 mm F2.8 G Master II lens to help enhance every shot.

Sony recently hosted an interactive pop-up photography class aboard Holland America Line’s 7-Day Alaska Inside Passage cruise on June 25 as part of the “We Love Alaska” onboard experience. Led by Sony Artisan Colby Brown, the exclusive class offered guests professional tips and hands-on practice using Sony’s state-of-the-art equipment.

Participants sharpened their photography skills while capturing breathtaking shots of Alaska’s glaciers, landscapes, wildlife and scenic vistas. With Sony’s Creators’ Cloud transfer feature via smartphone application, guests instantly saved and shared their images with friends and family. A condensed version of the class is now available on stateroom TVs fleet-wide.

Holland America Line offers more glacier experiences than any other cruise line. Glacier Day occurs once per cruise on every Alaska cruise, putting a spotlight on the majestic glaciers of the region. Every Alaska cruise includes a visit to one or more of the state’s iconic glacier destinations, and shore excursions offer the opportunity to visit even more glaciers.
