On March 12, the Province of British Columbia will recognize the one year anniversary of the 2010 Paralympic Games in Vancouver and medalling B.C. Paralympians.
Para-alpine skiers Lauren Woolstencroft, Josh Dueck, Karolina Wisniewska, Lindsay Debou (guide) and Wheelchair curlers Darryl Neighbour, Ina Forrest, Jim Armstrong and Sonja Gaudet will be on-site for the celebration taking place at Jack Poole Plaza from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Wiseniewska is currently ranked third in her category worldwide and won a pair of bronze medals at the 2011 International Paralympic Alpine Skiing World Championships in Italy earlier this year while Woolstencroft was recently named as among Canadian sports Power 50 by the Globe and Mail.
Neighbour, Forrest, Armstrong and Gaudet recently returned from Prague where they won the 2011 World Wheelchair Curling Championships.
