We’ve been using Singapore-based Eskimo Travel for the past year now (in Europe and Asia) and it’s proven a reliable way to stay connected.
First off, there’s over 130 countries represented with options arranged by country and region, plus a massive 84-country global package. On average, the eSIM delivers 4G speeds without data limits or throttling. While many countries are covered via Eskimo Travel’s Global and Regional eSIMs, some countries (e.g. South Korea, Fiji) require a solo eSIM plan.

Since I’ve already installed an Eskimo eSIM on my iPhone, the app finds and automatically connects that eSIM to whatever region you’re currently in (and have purchased a data plan for).

I like the fact that you can easily view remaining eSIM data right within the app to help with future trip planning. I was just in Seoul, S. Korea and received a low data usage warning when my 3GB plan was at about 25% remaining. I purchased an extra 1GB that I wound up not using, but what’s great about Eskimo is that you’ve got two years to use the eSIM or transfer it to a friend’s phone (a minimum of 500 MB is required for a transfer).

It’s super easy to set up too: Download the Eskimo app to your iPhone or Android, create an account, install the eSIM before you leave town, and once at your destination, it’s just a few steps to connect to a mobile network to start roaming!
eSIMs are data-only, however you can still make and receive voice/video Internet calls to your current mobile number using WhatsApp, WeChat, Line, KakaoTalk, etc.
There’s also an in-app Cashback feature to earn cash back when booking flights, hotels, tickets and tours from various travel sites. Simply select the travel site listed in the app, book as you normally would, and receive direct credit to your bank account (between 60 and 120 days following a successful booking transaction).

Eskimo’s team is dedicated to offering affordable service with 24/7 tech support. If for any reason an Eskimo eSIM won’t install or establish a connection, you’ll receive a no-hassle refund. Visit this page to ensure that your device is compatible.

Our Fijian island eSIM experience was pretty flawless; we got connected outside of resorts whenever we needed to get online. On a few occasions such as on interior roads, the signal would leave, but returned within a few moments.
