Fortress Geek warehouse shelves

Fortress Geek is one of Vancouver’s best-kept secrets, an e-commerce geek store located near Olympic Village. If you’re looking for a TARDIS towel, a Star Trek T-shirt uniform dress or Nintendo plushes, you’ve come to the right place. Fortress Geek stocks a variety of comic and cult TV show clothing, memorabilia, and geek gadgets.

Fortress Geek isn’t a full retail store. You can choose to have an order from their online store shipped across Canada using Canada Post Expedited or via a $5 t-shirt letter mail shipping option.

Fortress Geek open house

Vancouverites can always drop by Fortress Geek’s warehouse on the last Saturday of each month during their open house or simply do a local pickup during the week.

It’s a refreshing change for Vancouver (and Canada) to have a store dedicated to geek products that allows customers to avoid international shipping, custom, and duty charges when using US-based competitors. To keep prices low and to offer a variety of products, Fortress Geek imports most of their stock directly from the US using a variety of manufacturers.

Fortress Geek plushies

You’ll find Star Trek t-shirt dresses from Roddenberry or DC and Marvel Comic character glassware, plus an assortment of licensed robes.

One great feature of the store is that all products come from reputable, licensed manufacturers or directly from the creators themselves. It’s a commitment to ensuring that the right holders receive their fair share of the sale, which occasionally means that stock might be lower than usual—Fortress Geek only buys licensed products.

Fortress Geek packed items

Fortress Geek is owned by PDB Sales Inc. owners of Starlit Citadel, an e-commerce game store. When you visit the warehouse, check out their board game collection. According to the owners, there’s over 1,500 board and card games in stock at any one time.

Find Fortress Geek at 61 West 7th Avenue in Vancouver.
