This winter, we’re showcasing the Cerium Hoody SV, a super soft, hip-length jacket that’s warm enough to wear in cold climates without the bulk of traditional down parkas, due to its windproof, downproof mini-ripstop outer (made with 100% recycled nylon).
The Cerium SV Hoody has recently been revamped with an extended length and two-way zipper for both improved layering and versatility.
Zipping open the chest pocket reveals a small stuff sack for easy packing. The jacket also features two zippered hand pockets and two internal pockets. I sized up in order to be able to layer this jacket. I noticed that the sleeves are on the long side, just covering half of my hands, so that I can pull the cuffs down and protect my hands if I forget to take gloves with me.
I was also looking to feature a breathable jacket that seals out drafts; this one fits the bill with an adjustable hem cord underneath.
The insulated hood adjusts in back via a drawcord and is roomy enough to accommodate a bike helmet to protect against cold air on winter cycling trips.
