Vancouver’s Circle Craft Christmas Market celebrates its 40th market this year. A local tradition since 1973, generations of Vancouverites, British Columbians, and tourists have enjoyed this annual tradition, a place to connect with BC and Canadian artisans and purchase their work.

Exhibitors will include wood turners, glass blowers, sculptors and potters, clothing and jewellery designers, toy makers, leather and metal workers, and more.

Visitors to this year’s event will find fashion shows, Canadian-made treats, entertainment by local dance groups, craft technique demonstrations, daily contests, a student art exhibit, and a new “Budding Artists” open area where emerging artists will introduce exciting and innovative new work.

The Circle Craft Christmas Market attracts 40,000 people annually. Discover the creations of hundreds of Canadian artisans, all of whom are jury-selected based on talent and diversity.

A few highlights:
– Live demonstrations of pottery throwing, weaving, jewellery making, and more
– Fashion Show: Designers and fashion artisans will hit the runway in style with twice-daily shows at 1 pm, Thursday to Saturday at 6 pm, and Sunday and Monday at 3 pm.
– The Main Stage entertainment: Local talent including youth community dance and music groups
– Student Art Exhibition: Each featured secondary school will offer a wide variety of student artwork reflecting the quality and diversity of their visual arts programs.
– Shopping Spree: Drop your entry ticket into the box at the show entrance and be entered to win a $1000 Market shopping spree
– Daily contests at the Market, plus online contests

40th Annual Circle Craft Market

Dates: November 7 to 11
Thursday to Saturday, 10 am to 9 pm; Sunday, 10 am to 7 pm; Monday, 10 am to 5 pm
Venue: Vancouver Convention Centre West, 1055 Canada Place, Vancouver
Tickets: Adults, $12; seniors, students, $10; groups of 10 or more, $8 each; $2 off if purchased online
Tickets also available at Circle Craft Shop & Gallery, 1 – 1666 Johnston Street (Net Loft), Granville Island, through November 11
2-for-1 after 5 pm; children under 12 free
