Denise Lin-1

Denise Lin is a talented wedding and portrait photographer who I’ve had the chance to get to know better this past year. Looking through Denise’s website, her photos caught my attention.

I’m amazed at the quality of light and emotions she captures, all moments shared with her clients. Burnaby-based Denise has worked and travelled all over the globe and is now entering her fourth year as a professional photographer.

Denise and I have something in common: we’re both designers. This obviously gives her a competitive advantage over composition and color. Denise enjoys capturing her subjects in a wide range of lighting. She’s inspired by travel, nature, colors and shapes, and couples in love, making her the ideal candidate for shooting weddings.

Denise loves having wedding photography consultations with couples. She swoons over the love stories that couples share with her and uses it as inspiration when capturing weddings. Denise puts a lot of effort into getting to know her wedding clients – their love stories, their favorite things.

The smallest details wind up inspiring her in many projects. Her blog is filled with client work, self-portraits, and beautiful nature. I was lucky enough to watch Denise work her magic on a photo shoot at Deer Lake in Burnaby last month.

Denise considers photography her foremost passion in life. “It’s all about building relationships, being creative, and freezing time with photos.”

Denise recently entered an American photo contest called Shoot and Share and two of her photos made it into the Top 10 in their respective categories – out of 26,433 photos submitted!

She considers this the icing on the cake in her photography career since what matters most to her is making her clients happy.

Thanks for the feature. I was surprised to see the “ninja” photo of me lying on the ground. I actually do that a lot. haha.
