Last week, I was invited to the media launch of View the Vibe’s Vancouver kick-off at Dockside Brewery’s welcoming patio. Delectable kusshi oysters were shucked by Chef de Partie Victor Jacinto, while Dockside’s own craft beers and a selection of BC wines made the rounds.
View the Vibe is a video restaurant guide showcasing décor, crowd, and atmosphere of popular dining destinations around Toronto, and now Vancouver. The idea is to show potential guests the “vibe” to see if it’s a place they’ll want to dine at.
High-quality 90-second videos are regularly posted on the website, with official partners in both cities. Vancouver has teamed up with Hawksworth, Vij’s, and The Parlour, to name a few of our destination eateries around town.
According to Toronto-based founder Nicki Laborie, video marketing has come a long way, and together with Editor-in-Chief Adam Mazerall, the team hope to grow the brand. They’re not here to compete, but rather to beautify the city’s best restaurants, and make a decision such as where to dine one step easier.
View the Vibe’s mission is to share with as many online sources as possible, bridging dining experiences social media. The Toronto portion of the site is filled with spa and beauty spots, design and culture, a special TIFF 2013 guide, and the latest scoop around town.
Watch View the Vibe’s videos as they engage with our local food scene. I for one am excited to see where this goes!
