Bird lovers, take note! The Vancouver International Bird Festival takes place from August 19 to 26 at venues across the city. Bird festivals are growing in popularity — there’s over 200 taking place in Canada and the US each year.
The Vancouver International Bird Festival includes many exciting events, speakers and activities for all ages. Artists for Conservation will showcase their annual art show of renowned wildlife artists as well as their new Silent Skies mural.
Top contenders for prizes in the VIBF photography contest will be on display, indigenous artists will create and showcase their artwork and professional artists will host creative workshops.
Lectures by leading ornithologists, tour leaders and more are also included in the lineup.
This festival is being held in conjunction with the 27th International Ornithological Congress at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
