Take the essence of all our Christmases, the sights, smells and sounds of long ago, add a dash of music and a sprinkling of snow and you have A Christmas in Wales, the joyous musical adaptation of Dylan Thomas’ beloved tale, creatively imagined by Denis Rodgers and Sarah Rodgers. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the season!

Gertrude and Alice, by Anna Chatterton, Evalyn Parry & Karin Randoja

January 19 to February 11, 2024
Gertrude Stein and Alice B Toklas visit the Jericho Arts Centre to tell of their 40 year relationship, of friendships with iconic artists, of Alice’s overwhelming devotion to Gertrude’s genius and how, as two Jewish lesbians, they survived in Paris in WW2. Now they want to find out how their lives are – or are not- remembered.

The Trip to Bountiful, by Horton Foote

March 22 to April 14, 2024
80-year-old Carrie plans to escape her son and his authoritarian wife, and return to Bountiful, her idealized hometown. With a new friend she plans her getaway but alas, home isn’t as she remembers. A masterpiece about memory and the universal yearning for home.

When We Were Singing, by Dorothy Dittrich – in association with Touchstone Theatre

May 31 to June 23, 2024
A saga of friends and lovers, career crisis and personal angst. It is a story that switches gears in an instant to get at the heart of what makes people tick. When We Were Singing is an investigation of the friendship between four urban-dwelling lost souls. Work, loves, hopes, dreams, fears, failures–the story is pulled from the same source as our own lives.  A musical like few others!
