Six restaurants, top BC chefs, and a beautiful, historic venue (Terminal City Club) equalled a morning of delicious brunch eats at this year’s Food Fight: The Battle for Brunch.

The third annual event was again hosted by the lively and beloved Vancouverite, Fred Lee. He did an excellent job as auctioneer, fielding bids for four great lots: A combined BC chef experience worth $500, two return airfare tickets for anywhere that WestJet flies, a two night stay at Tinhorn Creek’s Guest House, and a signed Trevor Linden Canucks jersey.
As well, there was a silent auction table with items from Skoah, Bard on the Beach, Semperviva Yoga studios, and more.
It was a lovely morning to get out and socialize with fellow food lovers, all for a worthy cause.

Attendees were given a ballot and a 12:30 deadline to vote on their favourite dish. Congrats to Chef Ned Bell of YEW Restaurant + Bar, this year’s winner (for the second year in a row!). His team’s dish was dubbed Reverse Eggs Benedict.
It was served in a mini mason jar and contained crab and hand peeled shrimp salad, pickled ramps, quail eggs, topped with a warm preserved lemon scone.
