Railtown Cafe fans have another reason to celebrate: a fourth location just opened at 429 Granville in downtown Vancouver.
Purveyors of artisanal made-to-order sandwiches, build-your-own salads, drinks and desserts, the newest of four locations is bright and filled with cozy seating to accommodate 60 diners within its 1,800-square-foot space.
Healthy comfort food is what Railtown does best, using locally-sourced, organic ingredients. As the leaves start to turn to fall reds and yellows, saddle up to a steaming cup of locally-roasted coffee or cold-pressed juice, or sip a local craft beer, glass of wine or cocktail with a sandwich, soup or salad (or all three).

Chefs Dan Olson and Tyler Day began in 2012 with a single catering facility in Railtown and haven’t looked back since, building on the success of their catering business.
What I love best about this place are its meal customization options; you can select from several types of breads, greens, crunchy toppings to house-made ice cream (I only tasted the creamy, dreamy pistachio and it was amazing). Other flavours at the moment include vanilla, citrus pear, strawberry and vegan coconut.

Railtown’s other locations can be found at 968 Howe Street, 1691 Main Street and at 397 Railway Street in Vancouver.
The Granville Street shop is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6 pm (closed on weekends).
