Calling all J.R.R. Tolkien fans for a live theatre adventure! The Hobbit, Tolkien’s well-known, award-winning fantasy novel and children’s book, was originally written in the tradition of a fairy tale. Tolkien wrote the story in the early 1930’s to amuse his three sons. A sequel was requested by his publishers, and The Lord of the Rings followed.

There have been a number of films and live theatrical productions based on these award-winning books. Playwright Kim Selody has adapted the story for Canadian theatre audiences.

Imagine That! Productions is pleased to present The Hobbit featuring Zavier Tanner as Bilbo Baggins, Derek Usher as Gandalf the Grey, Liam Sullivan as Thorin Oakenshield, and supporting players Ted Staunton, Paul Johnston, Miranda Croft, Jessa Martens, Ginny Thingvold, Lauren Blakemore, Julie-Ann Kliewer, Abby Davyduck, Aimee White, Tonia Martens and Tamara Croft as Old Took. The Hobbit is produced and directed by Faith Toronchuk.
