Ahh, the Casino Royale party at Ric’s Grill. Hedonism and debauchery at their finest.
On Friday night, Ric’s hosted Cornucopia guests for an evening of assorted hot dishes, seafood (including an oyster bar), wines, cocktails, DJ’s, hoola-hoop dancers and Vegas showgirls. In other words, a merry circus to help celebrate Whistler’s biggest wine and food event of the year.
THE place to be after the Crush Gala, this venue was packed in on all sides. Several rooms featured roulette and blackjack, while on one side of a tent (it was easy to get lost in this place!), an artist was sketching digital portraits.
I loved watching people stream by, dressed to the nines, the women in shiny cocktail dresses while the men were decked in their finest threads.
Austin Powers character Dr. Evil made the scene, complete with a Mr. Bigglesworth in hand.
A scantily clad hula-hoop dancer worked her way through the crowd atop a set of banquettes.
I’m pretty sure it was a night to remember for most. For more photos of Casino Royale, click here.
