With 15 sunglass prescription styles currently in Clearly’s exclusive LOVE lineup (50 in total), it’s a pretty good bet you’ll find glasses to suit both your face and style. I was recently invited to check out a pair from this fun-loving, colourful collection.
While some styles contain metal-rimmed retro 70’s hearts, others are heavy on the chunky frame. The majority are round and well-suited for beach and festival-hopping.

The fashion-forward lineup ranges from cat eyes to tortoise shell, containing both metal and plastic frames. Each of Clearly’s sunglasses can be customized with one of six sun lenses (the ones I’m wearing are a solid green/grey polarized).
My LOVE frames come in both black and white. I went for a classic look in black that works with everything from casual jean shorts and tank tops to sundresses and long skirts.
They’re comfortable to wear plus the frames sport a tiny cutout heart on the end of each arm.
Clearly (formerly known as Clearly Contacts) is now the world’s largest online eyeglass retailer.
Not bad for a humble company with Vancouver roots started 16 years ago by Canadian entrepreneur Roger Hardy. I’m wondering out loud whether he realized at the time that the global eyewear industry would grow to its current $112 BILLION dollar status.
No matter, Clearly customers can upload a photo of their face onto the website and virtually try on frames, some of which have been spotted on A-listers Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding and Ty Burrell.
With glasses clearly becoming as popular a wardrobe staple as designer handbags and heels, it comes as no surprise that the company annually launches at least a dozen frames for each of its 10 in-house collections.
And customers who are a bit contact lens-shy (such as myself) are getting to reap the benefits of some pretty sweet-looking shades. Check out Clearly’s wide assortment online. Unwatermarked photos courtesy of Clearly.
