Delsey Volume Max 25" Trolley Spinner-14

As a travel blogger, I’ve had to cancel two trips this spring due to Coronavirus and hope that my fall/winter trips will still go through (fingers and toes crossed). Oh, itchy feet, you’ve gotten the best of me, and it’s only been a week!

Santa Barbara/Spanish Garden Inn

I returned home from Southern California in mid-March, when borders between the US and Canada were still open to general travel, and am currently midway through 14 days of self-quarantine, keeping busy with writing projects and a lot of admin tasks.

If you’ve had to recently cancel travel plans, I can commiserate with you 100%! While working from home (and on the road) lends itself to a solitary way of life at times, there’s nothing like a great adventure to feed your wanderlust.

Luckily, there’s loads of great books out there, as well as YouTube and Netflix travel-related content. We’ve put together a list of 10 travel-worthy films and TV shows to enjoy and inspire once travel bans have been lifted. A big bonus is watching from home so you can truly practice social distancing!

Films

Midnight in Paris
Lost in Translation
The Grand Budapest Hotel
The Motorcycle Diaries
Under the Tuscan Sun
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

TV Shows

Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father (Jack and Michael Whitehall’s zany adventures abroad)
The Layover (hosted by the late and talented Anthony Bourdain)
Passport to Europe (hosted by Samantha Brown)
Full Circle with Michael Palin

Hopefully these days are numbered and we can all soon get back to planning and enjoying some bucket-worthy destinations. Drop a comment below and let us know what you’ve been doing to cure wanderlust while self-isolating!

We’re sitting home (and sometimes on our balcony when the weather’s nice) and reading some of Michael Palin’s travel books right now!

Sleeping in and working part-time from home, and just got into Travels with My Father – hilarious! Thanks for reminding me about this one – I’d been wanting to watch for awhile and now there’s TIME 🙂

Once this all passes, I want to take a cruise around Iceland!

    Hi Audra,

Me too! Have yet to visit Iceland. Did you happen to see our Fly Over Iceland story? Hopefully you’ll get to see Iceland both ways!

We’re home watching some pretty silly Netflix comedies, at least one an evening. At least we can go to sleep without the dreadful news swimming in our heads! Hope you’re keeping well! 🤗🤗🤗
