Pacific Dermaesthetics-2

Vancouver-based Riversol Skin Care Solutions is the first Canadian cosmetic company to use beta-thujaplicin extracted from BC’s Western red cedar tree to soothe rosacea and sensitive skin. It’s a potent antioxidant not used in mass-market skin care lines due to the high cost of extraction and the difficulty to stabilize this molecule.

A chronic, inflammatory, and potentially self-esteem-robbing skin condition, rosacea currently affects over two million Canadians.

April is Rosacea Awareness Month, dedicated to shedding light on this condition, which has no known cure and whose underlying cause is unknown. Enter Riversol and beta-thujaplicin, an effective over-the-counter skin care product developed by a highly respected dermatologist, with the ability to help millions of rosacea-prone sufferers.

Riversol For Redness uses beta-thujaplicin, a potent antioxidant derived from the Western red cedar tree. After many years of searching for a skin care system to effectively calm the symptoms of rosacea, Vancouver dermatologist Dr. Jason Rivers developed a skin care line specially formulated to help this condition as well as sensitive skin in general.

A powerful combination of beta-thujaplicin, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E calms the skin, reduces the appearance of redness, and improves clarity and texture while deeply hydrating the skin – important factors in helping men and women with rosacea.

Pacific Dermaesthetics-1

I visited Pacific Dermaesthetics earlier this week for a cleansing and moisturizing introduction session to Riversol’s product line. The clinic is located on Georgia Street near Thurlow; its interior modern and relaxing.

Candace, my esthetician, discussed my skin prior to starting, going over allergies and possible previous reactions to treatment. She then applied the gel cleanser, Rosacea protocol serum, moisturizing cream, and T Plus eye cream, all waking my skin and leaving it with a healthy glow right through the evening into the next day.

The downtown clinic offers a range of cosmetic dermatology treatments, including chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and wrinkle treatments.

Riversol for redness is a simple three-step skin care regime, effectively calming the skin, reducing the appearance of redness and inflammation while improving skin texture and clarity. The hypoallergenic line is also formaldehyde, dye, fragrance and gluten free.

“One of the main concerns people with rosacea encounter is a lack of transparency in skin care ingredients. This makes it hard for them to decipher what may be irritating their skin,” said Dr. Rivers. “While there is yet no proven cure for rosacea, patients note how positively their skin has responded to Riversol products within three weeks. Even better, many have indicated that they are no longer self-conscious about their skin.”

The natural healing components in beta-thujaplicin help rosacea patients regain self-confidence. Riversol products are available online and at select locations in Canada, including Pacific Dermaesthetics.

My treatment and consultation were compliments of Pacific Dermaesthetics for the purposes of experiencing Riversol products and of writing this feature.

Do you treat spider veins on the face? If so, how much is a consultation and treatment please?

    Hi Jean,
This is not our company, it’s merely a visit I had to Riversol. Please find more info on their site. Thanks!
