Tantalize your taste buds later this month at over a dozen fabulous East Vancouver restaurants! Vancouver Foodster’s Tasting Plates is back with a summer edition on Wednesday, June 27. While the last event took place around Gastown, Downtown, and the West End, this one’s focus will be on East Vancouver, with several of the restaurants clustered around Main Street and Kingsway.

Richard Wolak is also the man behind Food Talks, a series of community events that bring together local chefs, food growers, and other industry professionals for an evening of socializing, nibbles, and learning.

Each restaurant will be serving up sampler dishes for guests to enjoy. This is a fun and engaging way to meet fellow foodies, the chefs behind our local food scene, and learn about their passion for cooking. Vegetarian options will be available at many of the participating restaurants. In addition to the food, there will also be art and music, making for an entertaining evening.

Event registration will be at 27th and Main, outside Salt Spring Coffee. Printed or digital tickets will be exchanged for a Tasting Plates card. Your ticket includes tasting plates at each participating restaurant throughout the evening. Beverages are included at some restaurants (to be noted on the card). Wine, beer, cocktails and mocktails will be available for purchase.

This is a great way to get out and enjoy some of East Van’s food offerings. Some of the Tasting Plates restaurants include:

Shaktea, 3702 Main Street
