Into healthful, vegetarian/vegan dishes with a twist? Vancouver Foodster has a Plant Based Bowl Challenge currently on through March 18

Restaurants from around the city were invited to either create a new dish or to enter an existing creation into this challenge celebrating plant-based cuisine.

Here are the four unique creations:

ROLLING CASHEW | Thai Cashew Vegan Wings, I can’t bowlieve it’s not chicken!
Price: $8
Description: Cauliflower wings, with base of flavoured rice, Thai cashew sauce, topped with sesame seeds, seaweed and chipotle cashew sauce. Also gluten-free.

ETERNAL ABUNDANCE | Vibrant Sunshine Bowl

Description: Grilled spicy Tempea tempeh strips adorn this salad, tossed in a creamy avocado lime dressing, topped with fresh veggies, blue corn chips, cilantro and sprouts over warm grain. All-organic, vegan and gluten-free.
