Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival

The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, an annual celebration that marks the reawakening of spring, returns to Vancouver from April 2 to 26. While you can get out and enjoy those fragrant, gorgeous pink and white blooms around the city, unfortunately many key events surrounding the festival have been cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19.

Inspired by the long-time Japanese cultural tradition of hanami — “cherry blossom (hana) viewing (mi)”. Every year, over 3,000 people come together to share the beauty of the blossoms and experience why “there are no strangers under the cherry tree”. Don’t miss perhaps Canada’s largest picnic, with free family-friendly entertainment and activities from noon to 3 pm. Some of metro Vancouver’s best food trucks will also be on-site.
