Sea to Sky Gondola November 2014-4

Squamish visitors can now book a hotel room, find the nearest restaurant, view trail maps and more thanks to a speedy new mobile app launched yesterday by Tourism Squamish.

The Explore Squamish app, built by Canada’s Best Apps, is a free download now available via Apple’s App Store and Google Play.

“This is just one of the tools we are utilizing in order to best showcase the world-class recreation, attractions, dining and events that are drawing record visitor numbers to Squamish,” according to Tourism Squamish Executive Director Lesley Weeks. “We have essentially created a mobile tour guide that will improve the Squamish experience.”

Within the app is a comprehensive Squamish guide consisting of 16 main categories ranging from attractions to services, each containing its own list of subcategories and business listings.
