Vancouver Christmas Ornaments

Hand-blown glass ornaments are lovely to hang on the tree or grace your home with during the holidays, but if you’d like a piece of Vancouver this season, check out this series of cool ornaments by Vancouver Christmas Ornaments!

Vancouver Christmas Ornaments

They’re handmade and painted, and yes, the City has granted owner Rhonda Nowak a license to produce the East Van cross.

Choose from Gastown Steam Clock, East Van Cross, Science World, Lions Gate Bridge, Sockeye salmon, Pacific Dogwood, Spirit (Kermode) bear and Northwestern crow. These would also make great gifts for family coming into town wishing to bring home a memory or two of our city.

They’re available at the Italian Christmas Market on December 4, at Eastside Flea Holiday Market on December 7 and 8, plus at L’Atelier Home at 452 Cordova in Gastown, Kimprints at 41 Powell Street (also in Gastown), Bird on a Wire on 2535 Main and at Gatley at 1136 Commercial Drive.

Ornaments are priced between $20 and $25 (the Dogwood, the floral emblem of British Columbia, dedicated to Nowak’s mom Doris who loved them so much) has a special offer of three for $60.

You can also pick up directly at Windermere Market (799 Windermere). Save time by ordering online and select the “in-store pick-up” option. Once they’ve been packaged and delivered to the store, you’ll get notified by email.

Their Where to Buy page lists other retailers in the Lower Mainland and BC Interior.

Hopefully the company will produce a Welcome to Kitsilano log and Main Street Heritage Hall next year!
