Kidsafe children in group

Local Vancouver children’s charity, The KidSafe Project, has partnered with a tech startup to launch a new, original approach to fundraising for vulnerable children. A mobile coupon membership, Save Everyday for KidSafe provides discounts at more than 500 Lower Mainland businesses for $20.

With annual membership, residents can access more than $11,000 in savings in Vancouver and an additional 155 cities in North America. Discounts can be used at A&W, Quiznos, The Donnelly Group, Kobe Steakhouse, Car2Go, Jiffy Lube, Best Western, Urban Thai Bistro, Budget Rent-A-Car, John Fluevog Shoes, and many more.

Proceeds go towards providing support, safety, programming and nutritious meals for more than 450 elementary school children at inner-city schools. With one in five children in Vancouver living below the poverty line, and BC confirmed as having the worst child poverty rate in Canada, grassroots organizations such as KidSafe are important to keeping our children safe and healthy.

For every purchased membership, KidSafe can provide a full day’s nutrition for three children, a week of transit access for a youth to access a free program in their community, or an educational discovery trip for a child.

For further information, or to buy a membership, visit Save Everyday for Kidsafe online. KidSafe is also selling memberships at the Vancouver Christmas Market, on through December 24.
